FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems of internal combustion engines. Disclosed are methods and systems for determining error of a cylinder fuel injector from a group of cylinders during deceleration fuel shutoff (DFS), in which, when all cylinders of the engine are disconnected, sequentially provide ignition in each cylinder of group of cylinders, at that fuel in each cylinder is supplied in series with the first and second fuel injection pulses of different duration from the injector. On the basis of deviation of the lambda coefficient between the first and second pulses, the fuel injection error for the given injector and the unbalance of the air-fuel ratio for each cylinder are determined. Additionally or alternatively, from the actual difference of accelerations of the crankshaft at the first and second pulses and the expected deviation, it is possible to determine the torque error and to correct the error of the fuel injector and air-fuel imbalance for each cylinder.
EFFECT: invention allows eliminating injection error of fuel injector and improving engine performance.
