FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for thyroid gland resection assisted by intraoperative photodynamic visualisation of parathyroid glands. That is ensured by double oral introduction of 5-aminolevulinic acid in dosage 20 mg/kg 180±15 min prior to the beginning of operation and in dosage 10 mg/kg 60±10 min prior to the beginning of operation. Herewith, the tissue is exposed to polarised blue light with using an endoscope provided with a filter system for fluorescence registration.
EFFECT: method allows more quickly and effectively removing thyroid gland tissue with preserving functions of parathyroid glands and laryngeal nerves without complications, reducing operative injures due to photodynamic visualisation.
