FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas cleaning of dust and can be used in metallurgy, primarily, for gas cooling and damping. Proposed device comprises cylindrical housing, confuser, inlet and outlet branch pipes, sprinkling system and bin. Inlet branch pipe is arranged at the housing bottom, its axis making with housing cylindrical surface axis an acute angle varying from 30° to 60°, inlet branch pipe end being submerged in conical bin fluid. Aforesaid bin incorporates valve with counterweight and rinsing branch pipe, rinsing channel and hydraulic lock with overflow and hatch. Scrubber top accommodates sprinkling device consisting of sprinkling belts with screw nozzles. Water feed to said sprinkling belts is effected via manifolds located outside said housing and representing circular sections of pipeline communicated with feed pipelines with control gate valves. Nozzles are jointed to manifolds radially via pipes with a certain spacing. Pipe length is selected so that housing section is completely covered by nozzle spray cones. Every sprinkling belt accommodates 8 to 16 nozzles, sprinkling being performed with the following directions of spray cone: lower belt nozzles - upward, upper belt nozzles - downward.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of gas cleaning.
