FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning gas of dust and may be used in metallurgy. Scrubber comprises housing, confuser, inlet and outlet branch pipes, spraying system and bin. Scrubber housing represents a cylinder. Inlet branch pipe is arranged at housing bottom, immersed in fluid contained in conical bin. Spraying device is arranged at scrubber top and consists of several spraying belts with atomisers. Water is fed to said spraying belts via manifolds arranged outside the scrubber and made up of circular pipeline sections. Atomisers are connected radially to manifolds with preset spacing via tubes and damping inserts. Spray cone of bottom spraying belts is directed upward and that of top spraying belts is directed downward. Atomiser casing has inlet representing a confuser with throttling hole aligned therewith. Inlet and throttle holes are arranged tangentially to swirling chamber. Nozzle insert is arranged aligned with swirling chamber to accommodate three calibrated holes made successively and aligned between themselves and with swirling chamber cylindrical surface: conical, cylindrical and shaped holes making cylindrical part with chamfer at outlet. Nozzle insert cylindrical hole diametre equals that truncated cone top base and that of shaped hole cylindrical part.
