FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid material grading devices, particularly to their design peculiarities related with to railway ballast with increased moisture and impurities content. Proposed screening machine comprises housing made up of two sidewalls with external support journals, cross beams, screening surface fitted on said cross beams, vibration exciter and suspension. Screening machine incorporates automatic control system and vibration amplitude pickups fitted on screening machine housing and vibration frequency pickups fitted of screening machine housing of vibration exciter coupled with ACS. Suspension allows adjusting rigidity in vertical and horizontal planes and varying vibration amplitude via varying, for example air pressure in air cylinder chambers. Vibration exciter allows varying vibration frequency to provide for optimum screening conditions, ballast conditions and screening machine load.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of screening.
