FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: facility consists of coaxial high-voltage electrodes - external cylinder one and central one with insulator between them, and of guiding nozzle installed coaxially to electrodes. An end of the central electrode is embedded relative to the end of the cylinder electrode at distance h. Value h of central electrode end embedding is determined from condition 0.1d≤h≤0.5d, where d is diametre of active zone of exploding foil. Diametre of the central electrode is equal to diametre of active zone of exploding foil, while surface of the central electrode end has a relief profile in kind of uniformly arranged tetrahedron pyramids. Also the insulator corresponds to a shell with an internal collar at the end, height of which is equal to h. The end of the insulator is in the same plane with the end of the external cylinder electrode.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of coating due to creation of conditions for quasi-homogeneous electric explosion of foil.
