FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and is a method of building (2S,3R,4S)-4-hydroxy-L-isoluecine producing bacteria. The method involves introduction of a DNA fragment, which contains a gene which codes a protein with L-isoleucine dioxygenase activity, into L-isoleucine producing bacteria. The invention also relates to (2S,3R,4S)-4-hydroxy-L-isoleucine producing bacteria obtained using the said method and a method of producing (2S,3R,4S)-4-hydroxy-L-isoluecine or its salt.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain (2S,3R,4S)-4-hydroxy-L-isoleucine with high efficiency.
