FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises the stages of frame production, background and threshold frame initialisation. Then for each of produced frame, difference between current frame and background frame is calculated. Further, it comprises binarisation with threshold frame and spatial filtration to allow detection of objects. Note here that background frame correction is performed with the help of constant of background frame updating ρ to be selected in its turn in every pixel depending upon detection of object therein by the formula:
where 0<ρi<1, k if coefficient, 0<=k<=1. While threshold frame is defined by the formula where ki is coefficient and dispersion σi is updated from the formula
where Ii is current frame, µi is current background frame, i is frame number.
EFFECT: higher quality of TV safety systems, reduced number of false operations.
