FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of defining the height of loose material layer transferred in airslide. Note that material is sounded by electromagnetic wave and wave reflected from material layer surface is received. Material controlled in said airslide is subjected to magnetic field, longitudinal relative to propagation of sounding wave, and wave passed through material layer is received. Angle of wave polarisation plane turn is measured and loose material layer height in airslide 1 is defined by formula , where λ is the angle of wave polarisation plane turn, V is Verdet constant, H is the magnetic field intensity.
EFFECT: simplified procedure of obtaining data on airslide loose material layer height.
