SUBSTANCE: in a device for detection of height of a hollow wooden cylindrical item comprising a generator of electromagnetic oscillations, the first detector and an indicator, there is an element of input of electromagnetic oscillations, the first and second elements of output of electromagnetic oscillations, the second detector and a correlator introduced. The output of the generator of electromagnetic oscillations is connected with the element of input of electromagnetic oscillations, the output of the first element of output of electromagnetic oscillations is connected to the input of the first detector, the output of the second element of output of electromagnetic oscillations is connected to the input of the second detector, the output of the first detector is connected to the first input of the correlator, the output of the second detector is connected to the second input of the correlator, the output of which is connected to the indicator.
EFFECT: increased stability of measurement of a controlled parameter.
