FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: set of increments of power control step size is determined so that at least two increments of step size differ from each other. This set is transmitted to mobile station (MS). The first command of power for MS communicates the first power for transfer of data with application of radio resource of ascending line (channel E-DPDCH). To change the power using the same radio resource, shift is calculated, access is obtained to set of increments of step size, in order to determine, which increment or their combination produces this shift, and MS is informed about the second power by the second message, which identifies those elements of set, which singly or in combination produce specified shift. MS determines the second power as function of the first power and increment (-s) of step size from the second message.

EFFECT: increased adaptation of line.
