FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of foundry engineering. Method includes supplying fine-grained coating material containing silicon oxide and aluminium oxide to surface of metal melt. Coating material is manmade zeolite material, containing identical parts of silicon oxide and aluminium oxide. Coating material has less than 20% of grains with diametre of less than 30 micrometre or more than 125 micrometre. Grains of coating material has shape of balls. Also coating material may contain up to 40 wt % of vegetable ash.
EFFECT: invention provides for improvement of heat-insulating properties of material, and also reduced dust generation in process of its use.
