SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely dentistry and general pathology, and be used in assessing the intensity of inflammation in periodontal tissues in patients with periodontitis, based on establishing associations between polymorphisms in genes regulating inflammatory reaction CD14 (C/C, C/T, T/T) with C (-260) → T, TNF-a (A/A, G/A, G/G) in G (-308) → A and c-fms (3'UTR TC → CA ) and (del425) and indicators of periodontal tissue resistance. Assessment of expression level of the molecule CD-14 (C/C, C/T, T/T) with C (-260) → T is carried out in comparison with the values of papillary-marginal-alveolar index and bleeding index, assessment of the level of expression of cytokine TNF- α (A/A, G/A, G/G) in G (-308) → A - with increasing values of periodontal index and the bone index characterising the degree of bone tissue resorption, and assessment of the level of expression of c-fms (3'UTR TC → CA) and (del425) - with the depth of periodontal pockets and an increase of bleeding index among heterozygotes (C/T) and homozygotes (C/C).

EFFECT: method provides an assessment of intensity of inflammation in patients with chronic periodontitis by establishing associations between indicators of tissue resistance in the oral cavity and genetic markers of inflammation.
