SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device with air cushion for knees protection. Proposed device comprises casing accommodating air cushion and attached to steering column 3, 7. Said steering column comprises movable element to move toward vehicle front along column axial direction at the moment of front collision and stationary element to absorb impact forced when said movable element moves. Casing is secured to such section of movable element that makes said casing strike on stationary element when movable element moves to absorb impact forces. Note here that said casing can be deformed before or after striking on stationary element so that movable element stroke will not vary.
EFFECT: higher driver safety.
