FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: air safety bag device for protection of knees (M1) includes air safety bag (61) which when folded is arranged in lower zone (16a) of casing of steering column (16). After being unfolded the air safety bag (61) pushes and opens section of doors (34) of casing of steering column. When section of doors (34) is opened in such way, one door of door section (34) blocks allowable clearance formed between outer circle (18) of casing of steering column (16) the position of which is adjusted, and lower zone of peripheral area of mounting hole in instrument panel (7) for installation of casing of steering column (16) by arranging the area of rear edge of the above door so that it can be adjacent to rear side of instrument panel (7) or to lower zone of peripheral area of mounting hole on rear side of instrument panel (7).
EFFECT: smooth unfolding of air safety bag irrespective of position of adjusted casing of steering column.
