FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed assembly comprises device with air bag, steering drive motor with electrical amplifier and steering column. Device with air bag comprises air bag and pump. Air bag is arranged in steering column rear bottom cover, outside said column. Said cover is supported by instrumentation panel fastener extending inside said panel. Aforesaid pump feeds gas into air bag. Steering drive motor is secured to steering column at the front of vehicle. Steering column comprises telescopic mechanism and shock absorbing mechanism. Said telescopic mechanism adjusts to-and-fro motion of steering wheel. Shock absorbing mechanism absorbs shock energy on contracting in the range of preset stroke when load is applied axially in front from the side of steering wheel. Aforesaid pump is arranged parallel with steering column axial line. Drive motor is arranged so that to inhibit collision with aforesaid pump when column is contracted by shock absorbing mechanism.

EFFECT: better mass balance.
