FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment, primarily, tertiary treatment of tap water in domestic conditions. Proposed method comprises intermittent water feed into primary freezing chamber and cooling it till complete freezing, transfer of ice produced into defrosting chamber and gradual defrosting. Produced melt water is filtered in temperature controlled filter at 0 to +1 °C, filtered melt water is collected. Now, it can be frozen again. Proposed device comprises primary freezing chamber, defrosting chamber, temperature controlled filter, container to collect filtered melt water, filter rinsing device and collector of drained rinsing water. Besides proposed device can comprises re-frosting chamber. Afore-mentioned filter can represent either belt, or separate filtration cells fitted on rotary disk or on endless conveyor belt.
EFFECT: simple design, high efficiency of treatment.
