FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the method of radar scanning a zone in space, in which angular directions are successively scanned with alternate omission, the received signal is also compared with an extra threshold. If the extra threshold is exceeded but the detection threshold is not, a strobe for scanning on the following period in which angular directions are scanned without omission is formed.
EFFECT: increased range of detecting targets appearing in the zone in space in the time interval between successive scanning of angular directions.
