FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: charge materials are loaded into plasma smelting furnace that contains charge and smelting chamber with furnace roof arch, for them to be heated and reduced with subsequent melting of the charge, extracting of reaction gaseous products, forcing a part of gases back into the furnace along with removal of excess gas and discharge of finished product. Extraction of reaction gaseous products is performed at the charge top level and from behind the furnace roof arch. Gas flow rate regulators are used to mix gases in preset proportion and return them back into the furnace by means of blower. Note here that gas extraction branch pipes are furnished with gas ducts fitted with gas flow rate regulators, heaters and gas feed branch pipes to feed gas in furnace roof arch.
EFFECT: maintaining necessary concentration of reduction gas, maximum extraction from initial rock.
