FIELD: metallurgy industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy, and namely to methods of removing phosphorus from metals and alloys. Method includes melting of the charge consisting of ore and carbon-bearing materials in a plasma furnace. Hydrogen is used as orifice gas. Melting is carried out in the shaft furnace, at that in the furnace crucible there radially located in 120°are three plasmotrons at an angle of 40-50° to the furnace axis.
EFFECT: improving dephosphorisation degree and capacity, and reducing production costs.
