METHOD OF OTOSALPINX INFLATION Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61M1/00 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2401666 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to otolaryngology and can be applied in treatment of a number of pathologies, in particular salpingootitis, cataral and exudative otitis media. Essence of method consists in application of device representing system of pipes, consisting of compressor, connected with olive, provided with canal and having between compressor and olive elastic balloon and valve, turning on supply of atmospheric air from compressor by means of olive introduced into vestibule of one half of patient's nose with held other nose half. Patient is offered to inhale, hold breath and blow cheeks. After that in nasopharynx by switching on compressor pressure of atmospheric air regulated with elastic balloon is created. Pressure created by compressor constitutes p = (2 - 10) kPa. Compressor is turned off and patient is offered to open mouth, creating in such way flow of air into nasopharynx emptying balloon due to elastic forces of its envelope. Or patient is offered to make a swallowing movement or drink some water.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention allows to increase efficiency of treatment and reduce its terms.
