FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, oncology, and can be used for interstitial photodynamic therapy of malignant tumors. For this purpose photosensibiliser is introduced intravenously. At least one transparent plastic catheter is installed into tumour. After that light guide is introduced into catheter opening in such way that its end did not protrude beyond catheter limits. Laser irradiation of tumour is carried out through walls of catheter with wavelength, corresponding to peak of photosensibiliser absorption.

EFFECT: method allows to increase outlet power of laser irradiation and prevent thermal changes of irradiated tissues due to absence of direct contact of light guide butt end with tumour tissue, which gives possibility to reduce procedure duration time and apply domestic photosensibilisers, and also allows to increase method efficiency due to possibility of successive irradiation of tumour from deep and surface points moving quartz fibre in catheter opening, periodically take fibre out and evaluate state of its working end.
