FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for photodynamic therapy of malignant tumors, photosensitizer and an X-ray marker are introduced intravenous under the radionuclide control, alternating with alignment of their maximum concentrations peaks to track their joint accumulation in tissues by means of an intraoperative gamma camera. Using a gamma camera, tumor position, size, presence of metastases are determined. Further, the tumor is exposed to high power laser radiation - 3 W or more at a wavelength corresponding to the photosensitizer absorption peak. At that, the tumor laser exposure on the surface is performed by short intervals of 5 to 100 ms. In case of deep location of the tumor, it is irradiated according to the same procedure using a needle with an integrated optical waveguide. Then, in 3, 10, 30 days after the manipulation diagnostic administration of marker is performed. If its accumulation in the tumor area reduces by more than 30% on the 30-th day, manipulation is considered successful for the purpose of its further repetition.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of photodynamic therapy due to the greater depth of laser effects on the photosensitizer in case of tumors located close to the skin, as well as interstitial tumors, with the ability to track the spread of laser exposure and to obtain information about the tumor cells location at the moment.
