FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: external vastus muscle is separated to the upper one-third of the external lip of the rough line of femur. Arthrotomy follows. The greater trochanter is cut off en bloc with the superior femoral neck and with the posterior intertrochanteric space backwards and downright with preserving the internal and external obturator muscles, obturator and gemellus muscles attached. The formed bloc is displaced backwards. The kept posterior neck and a part of the intertrochanteric space are osteotomised. The whirlbone and separated part of the femoral neck are removed. A hip prosthesis is implanted. The pre-formed bloc is placed back and fixed to the prosthesis. A defect formed after the removal of the posterior neck and intertrochanteric space is filled with a laminated bone substitute preparation in the amount less than the defect volume. The defect is filled with the preparation LitAr.

EFFECT: prevented prosthesis destabilisation following revision implantation.
