FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology and X-ray surgery. An introducer is placed in the femoral vein with filling the clear spaces of proximal and distal channels of Swan-Ganz catheter with a heparinised solution, an angulated J-type conductor of the diametre 0.64 mm and length 260 cm is inserted into a distal space of the catheter, while said introducer is inserted to the tricuspid valve. Then a cylinder located on a distal end of the catheter is inflated with the latter being advanced in short-length tractions to the diastole. For passing through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle of heart and through the trigeminal valve into the pulmonary artery, the X-rayed conductor is delivered to the right ventricle of heart at first, and then to the pulmonary artery to the level of 2nd or 3rd order branches to pass the catheter thereon. Once found in the pulmonary artery, the X-rayed Swan-Ganz catheter is positioned in one of the arterial branches of inferior parts of the lungs by introducing 10-20 ml of a contrast medium into the branch of the pulmonary artery through the distal clear space. Further, the catheter is advanced in short-length tractions until stopped, then the cylinder is blown off whilst the pulmonary artery pressure curve is observed again, and when inflating the cylinder once again, stop pressure of the pulmonary artery is measured.
EFFECT: technique makes a procedure more simple.
