FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite filter materials for ultra- and micro-filtration and can be used in medicine, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, electronics, chemical, food and other industries. The relief porous membrane has a porous membrane and relief elements in form fibres or fibres and sealing loops attached to the surface of the membrane, which form longitudinal or transverse channels having constant or varying cross section on the surface of the membrane. The method of making the relief porous membrane involves formation of a relief on the surface of a porous membrane by attaching fibres or fibres and sealing loops onto the surface of the membrane. The membrane element has a porous membrane with relief elements or two porous membranes with relief elements and sealing elements, joined to each other to form chambers for the separated medium and permeate.
EFFECT: improved manufacturability and efficiency of using membranes and membrane elements, possibility of fast replacement of spent membrane elements and possibility of wide use as membrane material for virtually any membrane, including track-etched (nuclear) membranes.
