FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of an electrode base and formation of an active mass, where the electrode base used is carbon fibre which is first chemically nickel-plated in a metal plating solution. The nickel layer is then electrochemically grown to 5-10 mcm at cathode current density of 3-5 A/dm2 and temperature 40-45°C in a nickel sulphamate solution. Further, the nickel-plated carbon fibre undergoes saturation in a solution of nickel nitrate, during which it is treated with hot 5 mol/l potassium hydroxide solution with cathode current density of 8-10 A/dm2 for 10-20 minutes.
EFFECT: low consumption of expensive nickel and its alloys, avoiding the need for high-temperature reactions, avoiding the need for additional mechanical equipment for the technological process.
