PACKING FOR SANITARY STRUCTURE OF DISCHARGE VALVE FOR EXCESS PRESSURE DROP Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC F16J15/06 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: here is disclosed solid flexible sanitary packing with similar cross section for implementation in structure for excess pressure drop. The said structure facilitates conformance of restricted space to sanitary-hygienic regulations. The packing has an elongated frame equipped with central section, a C-like end section containing a section of a base lug and a segment of an auxiliary lug with a distance between them and a recess; the packing also has a long back section together with central section forming a lengthwise running angular groove. The packing is installed between a membrane unit of the discharge valve and a frame component of the discharge valve structure. The section and the segment of the lug are in a packing contact with internal surface of the discharge valve membrane inside from the line of weakening in the said membrane formed with a row of slits. A rectangular projection continues from central section and contacts the membrane unit of the discharge valve outside from the weakening line. The section of the main lug and the segment of the auxiliary lug of the end section can travel one to another and one from another simultaneously maintaining pressure tight packing contact with the membrane unit of the discharge valve during cyclic travels inside and outside. The frame component is placed into the groove for tight fixation of the packing to the structure of the discharge valve.
