PROCEDURE FOR DRYING CAPILLARY-POROUS LOOSE MATERIALS AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS PROCEDURE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC F26B5/04 F26B9/06

Abstract RU 2406951 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in preliminary material heating, in alternate loading it in vacuum drying chambers with heating elements, in successive material heating and in creation vacuum in cycles: heating with heat carrier in spouting layer of up to 300°C to temperature of material but below its destruction temperature, creation of vacuum under mode of fast vacuum-pulse effect with stepped single or multiple reduction of pressure within limits from 0.1 MPa to 0.0001 MPa, and successive conditioning under vacuum to stabilisation of material temperature. Cycles are repeated till required humidity is achieved. Cooling is performed in the same drying chamber by alternating cooling in a spouting layer and vacuum-pulse effect. The device for implementation of this drying procedure consists of two vacuum chambers with heaters arranged inside them, of material loading and unloading system, of one or several receivers with pumps parallel coupled to them and connected to an inlet of the drying chamber through the system of vacuum pipelines with high-speed valves. The vacuum drying chambers of a conic shape in their bases are connected with the system of heat carrier circulation for heating or cooling material in the spouting layer; the chambers are equipped with heated jackets. Heat carrier vacuumising and circulation lines are furnished with heated cyclone-filters and heat exchangers-condensers with condensate collectors.

EFFECT: reduced time for drying material, particularly, grain; raised quality of dried material.
