METHOD OF EARLY PRE-CLINICAL PREDICTION OF EPIRETINAL MEMBRANE COMPLICATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH HIGH MYOPIA Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B8/10 A61B8/13

Abstract RU 2407443 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of ophthalmology. For early pre-clinical prediction of complications induced by epiretinal membrane (ERM), in patients with high myopia, method of optic coherent tomography is used. Optic density of ERM and pigment epithelium is determined. Thickness of adjacent to membrane retina is measured. Presence of ERM tension above adjacent retina and type of retina deformation are determined. Changes of macular area of retina are detected. Is simultaneously fixed are increase of ERM optic density to density of pigment epithelium layer, 30% and higher increase in thickness of retina adjacent to ERM, ERM tension above retina, toothed form of adjacent retina surface, changes in macular area of retina in form of retinoschisis or lamellary or through retina rupture or retina detachment, ERM-induced complications are predicted.

EFFECT: method allows to predict complications induced by epiretinal membrane at pre-clinical level without negative vision dynamics.
