FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of ophthalmology. Presence of epiretinal membrane is detected when carrying out optic coherent tomography (OCT). Optic density of epiretinal membrane and thickness of retina in foveola are determined. If, simultaneously, visualised is epiretinal membrane, its optic density constitutes 30% and more of optic density of pigment epithelium, and measured thickness of retina in faveola is 15% and more higher than initial thickness of foveola, progressing of epiretinal membrane is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows to increase diagnostics accuracy.
