FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. An optical coherent tomography of the brachytherapy area is performed in the high-resolution mode of imaging in the depth of tissues using the scans averaging function. If observing elevation of a tomography cut with an intensely hyperreflective structure of a thinned retina and blocking a signal from underlying tissues, the borders of which coincide with the boundary of intense-hyperreflective changes of the structure of the thinned retina, the hyperplasia of the pigment is diagnosed. During elevation of a tomography cut having an uneven surface and a moderately hyperreflective structure of an inner surface of a chorioretinal complex, and presence of secondary changes in the proper retina in the form of hyperreflective deposits at the level of retinal pigment epithelium and disturbed differentiation of retinal layers, residual scar tissue is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method enables providing the possibility of selecting an adequate management approach to patients after brachytherapy with choroid melanoma.
