FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: intervertebral prosthesis, in particular for cervical spine, with two hinged connecting plates, whose connecting surfaced made for connection with bodies of adjacent vertebra have main surface (3), intended for fit to vertebra body surface and rising above it self-cutting fixing projections, formed by as minimum one pair of ribs (4, 14), located at angle with respect to each other and relative to preliminarily specified direction of implantation (1). Lateral surfaces (5, 15) of ribs, turned more against the direction of implantation, rise more steeply, than surfaces (6, 16) of sliding rise, turned more in the direction of implantation.
EFFECT: prevention of damage to excessively closing plates of rest sites of vertebra body in ventral direction from their fixation position.
