FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: fibre is saturated, a profile is formed in draw plate, the rod is shaped and hardened. Hardening is carried out under the effect of microwave radiation with the reinforcing fibres lying parallel the microwave field lines. The rod is continuously passed through chambers successively powered by one of the microwave sources and connected by waveguides. The number of chambers is chosen for each step for changing the state of the binder from liquid to solid and the distance between stepwise grouped chambers is set. Measured return of microwave radiation is provided using a diaphragm in a microwave transmitting aperture of an absorbing load which is linked to the last chamber. The invention enables to obtain a monolithic rod having a uniform cross-section and made from various materials.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the process, control of the hardening process, minimisation of loss of energy during hardening.
