SUBSTANCE: system for tying and tuning electric guitar strings consists of a clamp for free ends of the strings, which is mounted on the face of the neck such that a string passing through the clamp turns 90° or more on the face of the neck at right angles to the plane of the neck and the machine for pulling and tuning the strings, which is mounted on the body of the instrument behind the lower step (bridge). The machine for pulling and tuning the strings has a simple design. The strings are pulled using screws which pull special clamps worn around the strings to the rear wall of the machine. The clamps only move back-and-forth. Rotational motion is restricted by the cover of the machine and the plane of the body of the musical instrument, owing to which the machine has a simple design.

EFFECT: system enables to reduce the size of the musical instrument and does not require use of special non-standard strings.
