SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for prediction of the risk of development of acute attack of closed-angle glaucoma. The transverse section area of the anterior chamber, the transverse section area of the crystalline lens are measured and related as K equal to K=San:Scl, where K is a prediction factor of acute attack of glaucoma; San is the transverse section area of the anterior chamber; Scl is the transverse section area of the crystalline lens; if K is more than 0.5, no risk of acute attack of glaucoma is predicted; if K is equal to 0.4 to 0.5, possible development of acute attack of glaucoma that requires preventive treatment to be prescribed is predicted; while K being less than 0.4 enables to state a condition of acute attack of glaucoma.

EFFECT: method allows higher prediction accuracy.
