FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology and can be used to predict risk of development of acute attack of secondary phakomorphous glaucoma with oversize of transparent and translucent crystalline lenses. Said method consists in measuring the thickness of crystalline optical section, the thickness of cortical optical section with calculating their relation K by formula K=Lcort:Lcryst, where K is a prediction coefficient of acute attack of phakomorphous glaucoma; Lcryst. is the thickness of crystalline optical section; Lcort. is the thickness of cortical optical section. Herewith if K exceeds 0.5, condition of acute attack of phakomorphous glaucoma is stated; if K is within 0.4 to 0.5, possibility of development of acute attack of phakomorphous glaucoma is predicted with prescribing the preventive treatment; in case K is less than 0.4, the absence of risk of acute attack of phakomorphous glaucoma is predicted.

EFFECT: invention allows predicting acute attack of phakomorphous glaucoma.
