FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: inert anode of electrolyser for production of aluminium consists of case made out of electro-conductive material resistant to effect of cryolite-alumina melt, of current supplying rod with hollow chamber positioned in zone of contact of current supplying rod with case of inert anode and equipped with through slits, and of sealing unit of inert anode. The hollow chamber of the current conductive rod is equipped with current conductive filler, thermal expansion of which exceeds thermal expansion of the current supplying rod and case of the inert anode. Contact zone of the inert anode case and current supplying rod is equipped with a layer of a current conductive material. The layer of the current conductive material is made in form of solder or coating, for example with electric conductive paste or glue.

EFFECT: reduced current losses in contact unit and optimal current distribution.
