FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at improving performances of rolled sheet cooling device. Proposed device comprises consecutive sections of intensive and low-intensity cooling, each comprising top and bottom drive rolls running in bearings fitted on bottom stationary frame and top frame moving vertically. Each section includes top and bottom collectors with water jets. Drive of each vertical moving frame is made up of four individual drives hinged in dual housing of bearing supports of the bottom drive rolls and pivoted to top moving frames and the beginning and end of each section. Proposed device incorporates guide rolls interacting with vertical guides of moving frames, and protective shields arranged on dual housings of bearing supports. Low-intensity cooling has horizontal guides secured on top moving frame. Bottom collectors are arranged to displace in horizontal plane, while each vertical collector incorporates support beams and is arranged to displace vertically and horizontally relative to the frames. Collectors incorporates water nozzles to feed air, while first drive roll runs in spring-loaded bearing support.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions, ease of maintenance.
