FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroxybenzoate salts of E-metanicotinic type compounds, which can be used in case of central nervous system disorders. The novel salt is a product of reaction of (4E)-N-methyl-5-(5-isopropoxy-3-pyridinyl)-4-pentene-2-amine with hydroxybenzoic acid, where the hydroxy benzoic acid has the formula: in which the hydroxy group can be present in the ortho-, meta- or para-position relative the carboxylic acid group, Z denotes a non-hydrogen substitute selected from a group comprising C1-10 alkyl, Cl, NR'R", OR', C(=O)OR', where R' and R" each independently denotes hydrogen, C1-10 akyl, and j denotes a number assuming values from zero to three which denotes the number of Z substitutes, which can be present in the ring, where the molar ratio of of (4E)-N-methyl-5-(5-isopropoxy-3-pyridinyl)-4-pentene-2-amine to hydroxybenzoic acid lies between 1:2 and 2:1. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition based on the disclosed salt and a method of preparing the salt.
