FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: seeds of plants, for instance, lawn grass or vegetables, are treated with electric field of high voltage, intensity of which is selected individually, depending on treated crop and purpose of treatment. Exposure is carried out with impulse electric field with fixed frequency of pulse repetition in the range of 60 - 180 Hz for 1 - 60 sec. Frequency and time of seeds exposure are selected individually, depending on treated crop and purpose of treatment. Compact system for generation of uniform low-frequency pulse electric field is arranged in the form of flat parallel electrodes connected to heteropolar leads of source of high pulse voltage, in space between which treated seeds are placed.
EFFECT: invention provides for high efficiency and quality of seeds treatment.
