FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to distillation separation of mixes containing monoethylene glycol and diethylene triamine, a waste of hydrating amination of monoethylene glycol with the help of ammonium in the presence of heterogeous catalyst, into flow that contains monoethylene glycol and less that 5 wt % diethylene triamine and into flow that contains diethylene triamine and less than 2 wt % of monoethylene glycol. Note here that separation is carried out by extractive distillation with the help of triethylene glycol in the presence of selective solvent for diethylene triamine.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
