SUBSTANCE: conversion unit (501) to process input video signal (Vin) for production of output video signal (Vout), showing less breakdown of colours when displayed on time colour display, compared to input video signal, conversion unit comprises the following components: unit (508) for temporary colour video signal; unit (511) for selection of main colour arranged with the possibility to receive at least one new main colour adapted to image (1P), determined by trend for optimisation of part of image radiation capacity, which may be assigned to the new main colour, at least, in the area of image of input video signal (Vin); and unit of colour conversion (521), arranged with the possibility to convert input video signal into output video signal represented in colour space, containing, at least one new main colour (1P), at least inside at least one area of image.
EFFECT: production of colour video signals, showing low breakdown of colours.
