SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Image colour processing device comprises: a unit configured to apply the corresponding weighted or unweighted functions (FNLR, FNLG, FNLB) to each of the red, green and blue components of the input image, resulting in modified red, green and blue colour components, wherein each of the functions can be one of a non-linear function, a linear scaling function, a multiplying input colour component (B) per weight, or a unit function of the input component, or a combination of input components, unit for calculating maximum (M) of at least three modified components; a lightness display unit for applying function (F) to a maximum which produces an output value (F(M)); a scaling parameter calculator for calculating a scaling parameter (a) equal to the output value (F(M)) divided by a maximum (M); and unit of multiplication of red, green and blue colour components of input colour (R, G, B) by scaling parameter (a), producing colour components of output colour (Rs, Gs, Bs).
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing reduced sensitivity to noise.
