FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animal breeding, in particular - to a method for production of a plastified gluten composition for application in fodders and dainties for domestic animals. The method envisages stages of mixture of at least gluten with plastifier with the mixing equipment set to a temperature below 50°C and a value of SME (specific mechanical energy) as applied to the mixture below 600 kJ/kg. Gluten and plastifier content is equal to accordingly 20 - 85% and less than 40% of the total composition weight.
EFFECT: usage of the invention enables production of a product characterised by a high breaking point value.
