FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of mineral fibers. Melt of minerals is fed onto first revolving fiber-forming rotor of fiber-forming device that incorporates, at least, two such rotors. Then, melt of minerals is thrown from first rotor shell surface onto that of second revolving rotor and, therefrom, onto surfaces of shells of possible next rotors. Note here that melt of minerals is changed into mineral fibers on active edges of revolving rotors. Formed mineral fibers are blown from said rotors into collector elements by blowers arranged on rotor active edges. In fiber forming, binder is applied on fibers by appropriate element arranged on rotor active edges. A number of separate blowing nozzles is arranged on blower outer side. Hence, first binder is fed by first line of nozzles while second binder is fed by second line of nozzles.
EFFECT: influencing fiber properties during formation.
