SUBSTANCE: method of formation of primary cloth of mineral-wool carpet on movable permeable molding base by transfer of cloud of fibrous dispersion from fiber-formation unit by gas flow onto said base. pressure on area of fiber settling, on both sides of molding base is maintained practically the same. The device for embodiment of the offered method has fiber-formation unit with at least one deflecting wheel 6 for receiving mineral melt; attachment 2 located in radial direction relative to deflecting wheel partially embraced by attachment; molding base in the form of screen 8; means for sucking gas flows through molding base; means for regulation of pressure on both sides of molding base. Mounted in fiber-formation unit is slotted nozzle 1 for supply of gas flow along tangent line relative to deflecting wheel and device for regulation and/or control of gas flows.
