FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: basalt fibre is meant for three-dimensional reinforcement and increasing resistance of fibre concrete (compared to steel concrete) to cracking, flexural and breaking forces, creates the necessary strength margin and enables the structure to retain integrity in case of through cracks, and also considerably reduces total weight of building structures. The basalt fibre based on molten basalt rocks has components in the following ratio in wt %: SiO2 48.4; Al2O3 12.6; Fe2P3 14.6; FeO 11.9; CaO 6.2; MgO 4.8; Na2O 1.0; K2O 0.5. Fibres with diametre 20, 200 and 400 mcm and pieces of length 6, 12, 18, 24 mcm are contained in the basalt fibre with different weight ratios in %.
EFFECT: production of basalt fibre for use as a concrete additive (fibre concrete), which ensures quality mixture in cement grout.
