FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: to facilitate selection of moving targets, three pairs of signal packets with random frequency tuning are emitted in each azimuth sector. In order to increase noise immunity, the law of variation of frequency for each pair of packets is different and the same inside the pair. The random law of frequency tuning is algorithmically generated from a linear-stepped law of variation of frequency in a packet of pulsed signals. The method is based on measuring radial velocity of an aerial target and compensating for reflections from passive interference by generating pairs of quasi-appropriate frequency characteristics and element-wise subtraction of data included therein after eliminating phase components associated with radial displacement of passive interference and the random nature of the frequency tuning law.
EFFECT: high reliability of selecting aerial targets on the background of active and passive interference and on the background of reflections from local objects, as well as possibility of measuring radial velocity of a large number of aerial targets in one antenna revolution.
