FIELD: processing information obtained by radar.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in all-round radar stations for recognizing airborne objects (AO) and for forming a range portrait obtained based on the use of frequency-tuning signals by constructing a characteristic of changes in the radial speed of an airborne object. In the claimed method, it is proposed to use the entire possible set of frequency characteristics of the AO, the number of which corresponds to the number of samples of the received digitized signal.
EFFECT: creating a method for measuring the radial speed of an air target in the mode of frequency tuning from pulse to pulse to form a range portrait that is operational in conditions of an extended location of individual sources of reflection of the sounding signal.
